Ensue you're running the latest version of the app & the iOS then try once again after enabling the 'Safe Mode' for the app via the device Settings app.
If the issue still persists then there is no other option but to reinstall the app (provided your data is already backed up). Make sure you have all the data backed up to Dropbox/Google Drive/OneDrive or the iCloud.
You can make sure of the same by going into the respective Drive account and checking under the 'Noteshelf Backup' folder OR for iCloud, you can confirm the same via the Settings app on your iPad->under your iCloud account->Manage storage -> Noteshelf app -> Documents.
