How do I recover a notebook that I can’t open in Noteshelf 3?

In Noteshelf 3, your notebooks are the heart of your creativity and productivity. In rare cases, a notebook may require additional assistance to open or access its contents. Our dedicated developer team is ready to help you restore and recover your valuable notes with minimal interruption.

To ensure we can assist you promptly and effectively, we request a few essential files and details from your device. By following the steps outlined below, you can securely share this information with us and enable our team to work towards a swift resolution.

To diagnose and resolve the issue as quickly as possible, please provide us with the following:

  • The notebook file that won’t open
  • Your app logs
  • A bug report from your device

Follow the steps below to share these with us.

Step 1: Export and Share the Notebook

  1. Open Noteshelf.
  2. Go to the notebook you’re unable to open.
  3. Press and hold the notebook → Share → choose .nsa formatSave to device.
  4. Then open Noteshelf → … (More options) → Settings → Noteshelf Help → Get Help.
  5. Tap the message icon at the bottom → attach the saved .nsa fileSend.

Step 2: Share App Logs

  1. Open Noteshelf → … (More options) → Settings → Noteshelf Help → Send Logs.
  2. When prompted, choose your desired email
  3. In the email compose screen, send the logs to noteshelf@fluidtouch.biz 

Step 3: Share a Bug Report

To share a bug report, Developer Options must be enabled in your device settings. Here are the steps to enable them:

Enable Developer Options (if not already enabled)

  1. Go to Settings → About phone (or About device).
  2. Find the Build number and tap it 7 times.
  3. Enter your PIN if asked. You’ll see the message: “You are now a developer!
  4. Go back to Settings → System (or directly in Settings) → Developer options.

Developer Options are now enabled.

 

 

Now Generate and Share the Bug Report

  1. Open Settings → Developer Options → Bug Report → Full Report.
  2. Wait for the bug report to generate.
  3. When you see the notification “Bug report – Tap to share your bug report,” tap it → tap OK.
  4. Choose your desired email to compose the email and send the bug report to noteshelf@fluidtouch.biz
